Lady Comets Compete at Ripken Experience Spring Training (Pigeon Forge)

For the Fourth year, the Coventry Comets Softball Team competed at the Ripken Experience "Spring Training" at Pigeon Forge Tennessee, finishing 1–2 against strong out-of-state competition. Coventry earned a hard-fought 12–10 win over Elizabethton High School (TN). Ava Burkhart 3 for 5, Gwen Seiler 3 for 4, Scarlet Dimeff 2 for 4, and Rylee Hillyard 2 for 4. Mackenzie Chapman pitched a solid outing getting the win. The Comets also battled in a 13–10 loss to Richmond-Burton High School (IL) Isabella Smith 3 for 4, Ava Burkhart 2 for 3 and Gwen Seiler 2 for 4. The Comets fell 7–1 to Verona Area High School (WI). Ava Burkhart 2 for 3, Addisyn Hahn 6.1 Innings pitched giving up 3 earned runs on 8 hits. Competitive games across the board gave the Comets valuable early-season experience. Coventry returns home ready to improve and build momentum.
